General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assigned by the School Psychologist to handle outreach and support services associated with the special education evaluation process in one or more schools.  The School Psychologist will direct the Family Worker in his/her duties. 
  • Makes home contacts or visits
  • May retains records related to parent activity
  • Assumes administrative responsibilities that may be designated by the principal such as planning the nature of, dates, and arrangements for parents’ meetings, home visitation schedules, etc

 

Minimum Selection Criteria

  • Excellent record of attendance and punctuality
  • Demonstrated ability to work with supervisors and other school-based staff
  • Demonstrated history of good human relations
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently carry out assignments
  • Knowledge of CSE procedures

 

Preferred

  • High School Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

 

Anticipated Work Schedule

Monday - Friday

  • Minimum of 27.5 hours per week if position is funded by the school
  • Minimum of 35 hours per week if position is funded by SBST

 

Salary

As Per Collective Bargaining Agreement
