Professional Development for New Teacher Mentors
Approximately 200 positions
Educator Development
LOCATION:
Sessions to be held as synchronous remote Zoom events
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed and appointed NYCDOE Teacher
SELECTION CRITERIA:
NYCDOE licensed and appointed teachers identified for official mentoring or Teacher Development Specialist
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend sessions to learn new content and plan for productive mentoring sessions
- Supports new teacher(s) with implementation of new learning
- Plan productive mentoring sessions
- Shares information with other mentors
WORK SCHEDULE:
From July 1, 2024 to August 30, 2024. Sessions vary. Time varies. Up to a maximum of 12.5 hours per position (not guaranteed)
Additional hours granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
