Kaliris Y. Salas-Ramirez, PhD is a distinguished medical lecturer at the CUNY School of Medicine at The City College of New York. She has a doctorate in Neuroscience and her research focuses on health disparities, public health and behavioral development. She is an author, speaker and anti-racist practitioner in education and health care. Dr. Salas-Ramirez is the former president of CEC4 and is a community organizer that elevates the voices of parents and students. A mother of two Afro-Latinx children, in public schools, she is committed to centering equity in all spaces and dedicated to supporting democratic schools.
